CREST NICHOLSON AND AVIVA INVESTORS SECURE ARK DATA CENTRES AT LONGCROSS PARK
10-acre site sold to Ark for the delivery of 385,000 sq ft purpose-built data campus
Crest Nicholson and Aviva Investors have announced that Ark Data Centres, a leading provider of purpose-built data campuses, has unconditionally acquired a 10-acre site at Longcross Park in Surrey. Ark will develop, deliver and manage a purpose-built data centre campus, totalling 385,000 sq ft of world class data centres space. Outline planning consent is in place on the site.
The campus, managed by Ark, at Longcross Park will deliver expert and optimised solutions for a wide variety of industries and business sectors from hyper-scalers and cloud providers to Governmental customers, the future occupiers of the data centres will benefit from a wide range of connectivity providers, the highest construction and security standards and Ark’s signature PUEs (Power-Usage-Efficiency).
The data centres campus at Longcross Park, part of the Enterprise M3 Enterprise Zone, is the first commercial development on the 300-acre Longcross Garden Village. The development has 200 homes completed or under construction, and will ultimately total around 1,700 homes, community facilities including a new school, and an 85-acre country park.
In line with the development of the data centre campus, the joint venture will deliver enhanced works to the entrance boulevard as well as the creation of additional development plots.
The £6.6M glass fronted Discovery Building which is already underway and is set to complete in Summer 2020, will offer a mix of uses including a delicatessen, bakery and coffee shop as well as two floors of flexible office accommodation.

The 10-acre site is sold with outline planning permission and Ark will submit detailed plans early 2020.
