BUDDY THE CAT
BUDDY AND HIS OWNERS GIVE YOU THE TOUR
Having swapped noisy Zone 3 for green ‘n’ serene Surrey, Buddy the cat and his owners, Rosanna Evans and Patrick Erni are feeling justifiably chuffed with themselves.
For the price of a flat in the capital, Rosanna and Patrick bagged a three-bedroom home (four-bedroom, counting the convertible study) at Upper Longcross. And, with parenthood on the cards, this newfound sense of space is exactly what they needed.
“Some people want to live in a beautiful area,” says Rosanna, “and some want a beautiful home. We genuinely feel like we’ve got the best of both worlds here.”
“There are a number of pubs and eateries nearby, but also there’s this wonderful feeling of peace and quiet. It really feels like you’re in the countryside.”
“I love the aesthetic of the houses on Upper Longcross,” says Patrick, “particularly the wooden features and spiral staircases. There’s greenery and water features throughout the development too.”
They may be surrounded by 85 acres of country park, but with a wealth of amenities and transport links on their doorstep, Rosanna and Patrick never feel in the slightest bit isolated. And Buddy the cat is loving the large, sun-trap garden.
“I work abroad a lot,” says Patrick, “and Heathrow is just 20 minutes away, so that’s ideal.”
As Rosanna says – best of both worlds.
